Fees and payment
Prices quoted: Prices quoted by Blackship chauffeuring will be fixed with no hidden costs. It will includes all taxes, tolls, fuel, parking fees less than 1 hour, drivers costs, commercial insurance including luggage cover & limited travel distance.
On over night stays our vehicle can take 4 passengers and one overnight bag per person.
Larger vehicles can be supplied for bigger groups and are priced on application.
Not Included: Parking fees over 1 hour, entry fees /admissions, accommodation, food, extra waiting time outside of the agreed time frame.
Sub-contracted vehicles: The cost of a subcontracted vehicle will be extra. The rate will depend on the vehicle and it will be exactly the hired rate quoted by the company hiring it.
Bookings: When confirming your booking we require payment in full for the service you are booking. For short transfers, payment can be made on the day by agreement.
Cancellations: Applies to bookings over half a day or more :
If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of travel, 50% of all monies paid will not be refunded.
If a booking is cancelled within 12 hours of travel, no refund will be made.
No shows will will have no refund. We recommend travel insurance for unforeseen circumstances.
Cash, direct account payment & corporate accounts are acceptable should you wish to become a regular customer.
A tax invoice/receipt will be issued upon request, and sent by email within 2 working days.

Every effort will be made to carry the entire luggage however if the clients luggage exceeds the requested vehicle’s luggage compartment alternative transport will be sourced and additional costs will be the responsibility of the client.
If there are any items left in our vehicles we will endeavour to return them to the client as soon as possible. Charges will be at the discretion of Blackship Chauffeuring.
Our vehicles and sub-contracted vehicles are fully insured for passengers and third party claims.
Our chauffeur holds a full New Zealand licence with passenger endorsement, a transport service licence (passenger), and the business is registered with the NZTA for private hire purposes. In the event of any accident where our chauffeur is at fault we have full vehicle and public liability insurance; however, you must inform your insurance company of any claim and complete their claim forms as required.
Our policy will cover any vehicle, property damage or replacement costs.
If we (Blackship Chauffeuring) are required to hire a rental vehicle, you (the customer) may be liable to any rental company excess in the event of an accident, theft or damage to that vehicle or property within that vehicle.
Our chauffeur is a non-smoker, and the vehicle is a non-smoking environment. He is a well-presented individual with a passion for delivering a high level of service in this competitive business. Particularly, he is both professional and experienced and intends to be able to drive you in the most smooth and comfortable manner possible, adhering to the laws of the country as well as the rules of the road.
A maximum 12 hours driving time is allowed within any 24 hour period up to a maximum of 6 consecutive days. 30 minute breaks are required every 5.5 hours in order to comply with New Zealand law – this is only a minimum, and it is highly likely more time will be preferred by customers and chauffeur alike.
Clients are responsible for any damage they cause to the interior and exterior of the vehicle on hire to them and will be charged accordingly to reinstate the vehicle to working order.
Alcohol and food consumption is not permitted in the vehicle. Any spoiling or staining will be charged accordingly.
